PRAIMS Beta — Install Guide

William Mills Agency's PR tracking & reporting tool. The beta connects to the beta server; the Mac and Windows apps have full feature parity.

🍎 Mac macOS 14+

  1. Download PRAIMS_Mac_Beta.zip from the testing page.
  2. Double-click the zip to unzip it (Finder unzips it automatically).
  3. Drag PRAIMS.app into your /Applications folder.
  4. Double-click PRAIMS to open it.
The Mac app is notarized by Apple, so it opens with no security block. On the very first launch macOS may show a one-time "downloaded from the Internet — are you sure you want to open it?" prompt — just click Open.

Requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer · internet connection required.

🪟 Windows Windows 10/11 · 64-bit

  1. Download PRAIMS_Beta.zip from the testing page.
  2. Right-click the zip → Extract All… into a permanent folder (e.g. C:\PRAIMS). Don't run it from inside the zip preview window — Windows won't find the support files.
  3. Open the extracted folder and double-click PRAIMS.exe.
  4. First launch may pause 20–30 seconds while Windows Defender scans the new files. Later launches are fast.
If Windows SmartScreen warns "Windows protected your PC," click More info → Run anyway. The Windows build isn't code-signed yet (coming in the final release).

Requires Windows 10 (version 1809, Oct 2018) or newer, 64-bit · ~500 MB free space · internet connection required. On an ARM Windows device (Surface Pro X, etc.), ask the admin for an ARM64 build.

Use your PRAIMS email address and password. If you don't remember yours, contact Robb Gaynor.

Use the Report a Bug tab on the testing page, or email robbgaynor@gmail.com. Please include what you were doing (which page/button), what you expected, what actually happened, any error text, and a screenshot if it's visual.
